On the NHL trade deadline the Minnesota Wild have made a move to help push them into the Stanley Cup Playoffs (and hopefully beyond).

According to Michael Russo, the Wild have traded for goalie Marc-Andre Fleury with Chicago shipping a conditional draft pick back to the Blackhawks in return. The pick begins as a 2nd round choice but could bump up to a 1st round pick if the Wild win two series in the playoffs this season and Fleury wins 4 games in those two series.

Cam Talbot is expected to start in net for the Wild tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights before giving way to Fleury to serve as the team's top goaltender. In related news, Kaapo Kahkonen was not present at Wild morning skate today and is rumored to potentially be moved in a separate deal today.
